This tiny vineyard has fashioned a beautiful, opulently textured, full-bodied 2003 exhibiting notes of black currants, incense and forest floor as well as fully melted tannins. Pure, fresh, lively and well-delineated (no doubt due to the limestone soils from which it emerges), it can be enjoyed over the next several years.

Round and rich with lots of fruit, chocolate, coffee and berry character. Full-bodied, with very velvety tannins and a long finish. Give it a few years, but hard not to drink now.

Aromas of raspberry, cherry and lightly toasted oak. Full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long finish. Balanced. Best after 2008. 580 cases made. -JS
