This wine has been at its peak of maturity for the last 4-5 years, and appears to be holding nicely in my cellar. The problem is that over half of the wines in my case have been corked! Happily, this was a pure bottle, revealing a dark garnet color with some amber at the edge as well as a big, sweet nose of kirsch liqueur, licorice, Asian spices, incense, and roasted herbs. This round, generous 1982 should be drunk up over the next 3-4 years. Release price: ($140.00/case)
