This wine is a good example of what a conscientious winemaker should have been attempting to do in a lighter-styled vintage like 1992. Rather than aim for power, intensity, structure, and ageability, it seems to me that the best strategy was to try and capture the charm and fruit of the vintage. Latour a Pomerol has done that and the result is a seductive, easy to drink, pleasantly fruity, soft wine with a berry, herb, and coffee-scented nose, good ripeness, an attractive mid-palate, and a supple finish. Drink it over the next 4-6 years.
