The 2008 Barbaresco Rabaja is relatively forward in this vintage. The fruit is beautiful and expressive, while the wine comes across as quite sensual. The muscle of Rabaja and the dark, deep flavors that make the wines of this site so compelling are absent. This, too, appears to be a wine to enjoy on the young side. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.
