The large-scaled 1997 Barbaresco Rabaja requires 2-3 years of cellaring, unusual for the vintage. An opaque ruby/purple color is accompanied by aromas of chocolate, coffee, blackberry and cherry fruit, as well as noticeable new oak. This immense, powerful, rich, moderately tannic Barbaresco will be at it finest between 2003-2016.
