The 2011 Barbaresco Ronchi is deeply penetrating and beautiful with a bold framework of red fruit, spice, tar and licorice. Albino Rocca’s wines are always distinctive (in part because of a unique oak regime that sees Austrian and German barrel) as they are elegant and compelling. This wine in particular awards a sense of fullness and completeness that is not as easy to find in the warm 2011 vintage. Drink: 2016-2028.
