Fermented in tank and matured in larger barrels, Tement’s 2007 Sauvignon Blanc Grassnitzberg is cooling and minty in personality yet with a glossy texture and lovely cling. Another year in bottle may bring more complexity, but this very proportional and refreshing Sauvignon should be worth following for 2-3 years. The 2006 Sauvignon Zieregg has turned out very well, in the middle of the range I rated it before bottling in issue 177. Although I was not in Sudsteiermark last year, I had a chance to taste most of Manfred Tement’s recent releases with him in Vienna.Importer: Weygandt-Metzler Importing, Unionville, PA; tel.
