The 2003 Sauvignon Blanc Grassnitzberg displayed a strong sage and mint herb character in the nose. Its palate presence is more polished, glossy and rich in glycerin and creamy lees character than that of the 2004. There is a strong finish of fresh apple, gooseberry and mint, continuing the successful theme of pitting fresh fruit against creamy, toasty lees- and barrel-assisted character.
