The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon presents a very deep garnet-purple color and is just starting to evolve into spice box, leather and Chinese dried plum scents with hints of espresso, forest floor, cloves, mace, warm cassis and mulberry. A little licorice and chocolate comes through on the palate along with crisp acid, medium-firm fine tannins and a long coffee-laced finish. Delicious now, it should cellar to 2020+.
