In 1992, Albert Belle, a studious, thoughtful man, made the best wines I have tasted from his small estate. The two cuvees of 1992 Crozes-Hermitage are superb values, as well as outstanding wines. The 1992 Crozes-Hermitage Cuvee Louis Belle is partially aged in new oak casks and bottled unfiltered (as are Belle's other red wines). It offers an intense, ripe bouquet, great richness, a saturated color, and a sensationally long, opulent finish. This medium to full-bodied Crozes is ideal for drinking over the next decade. It is hard to find Crozes-Hermitage this stunning!
