The 1996 Barbaresco Coparossa is high in alcohol, muscular, and while not very sexy or forward, a wonderful wine. Full-bodied, with cherry cough syrup, tobacco, earth, and hints of white truffle aromas, this nicely-layered wine possesses a muscular mouth-feel, no hard edges, and moderately sweet tannin in the long finish.
