The 2011 Barbaresco Fausoni is initially slow to show its aromatic potential. As it evolves in the glass, it begins to reveal dark cherry, blackberry, cinnamon spice and dark cola. The style here is bold and thick. This wine also shows noticeable power with tight tannins and some astringency. It still needs time to unwind.

Exhibits ample fruit and sweetness, but this won't provide instant gratification, with flavors of cherry, medicinal herbs and tar that are quickly overwhelmed by stiff tannins. Best from 2018 through 2028. 400 cases made.??–BS??Region: Italy / Piedmont / Barbaresco Select to Add
