The 1997 Zinfandel Westside (15.8% alcohol) is an impressive offering. Some new oak makes an appearance in this wickedly aromatic wine. Explosive fruit flavors with gobs of cherry, strawberry, plum, and cassis are complemented by copious fruit and glycerin, and light tannin in the voluptuous finish.
