This wine is restrained, medium-bodied, and measured. Although it possesses a dark ruby color, and jammy cherry and strawberry fruit in the nose, it is somewhat monolithic. Perhaps I caught it during a dormant stage. After producing lighter-styled Zinfandels in recent vintages, Peachy Canyon has produced positive, rich, and complete efforts in 1996.
