Bitouzet's 1993s are well-made wines exhibiting deep color, some of the vintage's hard tannin, but excellent richness and ripeness. This wine was rated, but given no tasting note. Bitouzet is better known for his white than red wines, but the reds, especially the Volnay-Clos des Chenes, Volnay Pitures, and Volnay Taillepieds, are attractive, well-made wines.
