Coming from Mallorca, one of the four Balearic Islands, Binigrau’s 2012 Nounat was made from a curious blend of 60% Prensal (aged in concrete) and 40% Chardonnay (aged in Burgundy barrels). It exhibits notes of orange marmalade, citrus blossoms and oil, fresh acidity and tangerine notes in the mouth. Medium to full-bodied and intense, it tastes like a lightweight white Burgundy made in the black soils of Mallorca. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
