One of the vintage’s top successes is Roger Perrin’s 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve des Vieilles Vignes. Deep, rich, and full-bodied with notes of white chocolate, black cherries, cassis, truffles, and resiny pine needles, this long, well-balanced 2006's tannins are largely concealed by the wealth of fruit. Drink it over the next 10-15 years. Roger Perrin has turned out some beautiful wines, especially his top cuvee of Vieilles Vignes, which is exceptionally strong in both vintages.
