Corino’s 2004 Barolo Vigna Giachini reveals superb clarity and definition in its layered black cherry fruit, showing outstanding persistence on the palate, refined tannins and beautifully well-integrated oak. This vibrant, pure Barolo is a terrific effort from Giuliano Corino. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2024.
This is the first vintage Giuliano Corino has made on his own, and a distinct style is beginning to emerge. He appears to favor a more elegant, restrained approach while his brother Renato’s wines are decidedly riper and more exuberant, very much like their personalities.
