The 2014 Barolo is a mid-weight effort with a bright bouquet of wild cherry and rose. The nose is generous and expressive with lingering tones of smoke, licorice and road paving. This vintage presents a thin mouthfeel and loose texture. You are more aware of the oak use in this thinner vintage, thanks to those spicy endnotes of cinnamon and toast. This is a near or medium-term Barolo. It ages in oak (80% botte and 20% barrique) for two years. Some 30,000 bottles were produced.
