Showing more richness and depth, the 2011 Saint Joseph Les Pierres is a beauty! Exhibiting impressive aromas of chocolate-laced black raspberries, charcuterie, and violets, it flows onto the palate with medium-bodied richness, excellent overall balance and good length. I don’t think it will make old bones, but it should drink nicely for 8-10 years. This was a large lineup by producer Pierre Gaillard.
