The quality and power of the vintage is immediately evident in Mocali's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino. Black cherry, pressed roses, wet earth and cigar box are important components of the forthcoming and generous bouquet. The wine is compact and tight at first, but it fleshes out nicely on the palate to reveal very attractive textural richness. Mocali has successfully interpreted this classic vintage.

The mix of cherry, strawberry, eucalyptus and juniper flavors is focused, building to an excellent finish. This is well-structured and lingers on the earth- and mineral-laden finish.
