The 2009 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrières has a delightful nose, quite restrained for a 2009, nicely focused with cold flint, citrus fruit and a touch of smoke. I bet a couple of hours in the decanter would do this no harm. The palate is quite powerful on the palate with a moderate level of acidity. Good volume here with hints of coconut and almond, fanning out towards a smooth and generous finish that has fine salinity. Drink now and over the next decade. Tasted October 2015.
