The 2013 Sommerhalde Sp?tburgunder GG is a classic that opens with a clear, refined, fresh and elegant but also intense and finely aromatic bouquet of red berries. Silky, fresh and enormously savory on the palate, this is a full-bodied and dense yet pure, saline, positively grippy and aromatic Pinot with a good, intense and well-concentrated finish. This is a very good, tight and sustainable 10-year-old Pinot Noir. This was also Bernhard's last vintage, during which he tasted the berries six times before he decided they were ready to be picked, as Julian reports. It's a highly respectable Pinot and heritage. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in late October and early November 2023.
