The 2002 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St.-Jacques sports a nose of red cherry syrup intermingled with Asian spices and minerals. Medium to full-bodied and lively, the taster’s palate revels in its sumptuously velvety mouth-feel and interminable fruit. Copious quantities of jammy raspberries, red cherries, roses, and blackberries can be discerned in its complex flavors. This detailed, pure, long finishing wine should be drunk between 2008 and 2018.
