The dark ruby-colored 1997 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St. Jacques offers aromas reminiscent of cherry pie, white truffles, chocolate, cinnamon, and blackberry syrup. This is an intense, concentrated, expansive, full-bodied, and masculine wine. Powerful, brooding black fruits, mocha, and toasty oak flavors can be found in this broad-shouldered, muscular offering. Drink it between 2001-2010.
