The 2008 Corton-Charlemagne has a delightful, lifted bouquet of patisserie and vanilla, hints of apricot blossom developing with aeration. The palate is crisp on the entry with grapefruit, pineapple and a touch of melted butter. There is a fine seam of acidity with a crisp, apple blossom and passion fruit finish. This Corton-Charlemagne is just beginning to open, although I would be inclined to afford it another three or four years in bottle. Tasted December 2012.
