The 1993 Corton-Charlemagne has a complex nose of white mushroom, citrus peel and a slight peaty note. There is a touch of spice on the entry of the palate that is nicely balanced, though it seems to drift a little. There are pleasant rhubarb and greengage notes towards the grapefruit- infused, rather terse finish. This is drinking very well, but I cannot envisage it improving with cellaring. Tasted December 2012.
