The 2006 GE is 30% Syrah, 30% Carmenere, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 16% Merlot. It, too, was produced from biodynamically farmed grapes from the winery’s Los Robles estate. Purple-colored, it has an alluring nose of pain grille, scorched earth, spice box, black currant, blackberry, and blueberry. This leads to a medium to full-bodied wine with layers of savory flavor, succulent fruit, and enough structure to evolve for 3-4 years. With excellent concentration, depth, and balance, it should drink well from 2012 to 2020.Importer: Banfi Vintners, Old Brookville, NY; tel. (516) 626-9200
