This 37-hectare estate in the southern Médoc (not far from the likes of La Lagune and Cantemerle) has delivered a fine effort in the form of the 2021 Sénéjac. Offering up aromas of cassis, spices, pipe tobacco and loamy soil, it's medium-bodied, ample and fleshy, with the supple tannins and charming, open personality that's typical of wines from this sector. Chateau Talbot's Jean-Michel Laporte is the winemaker.
