The impressive 2009 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna delle Raunate come from a long tradition of wines that I have admired for a very long time. It opens with a deep degree of dark intensity and follows suit with equally compelling aromas of dried blackberry and sweet spice. The palate is supple, smooth and rich with sweet tannins and a balanced drop of bright acidity. Only 6,000 bottles were produced. Drink: 2017-2024.
