The full-bodied, rich, intense 1991 Onix Reserva boasts layers of attractive blackcurrant and cherry fruit, excellent purity, a touch of spicy wood, and a long, alcoholic, slightly tannic finish. It should drink well for 4-5 years. The 1992 and 1993 Onix regular cuvees and the 1991 Onix Reserva, made from Garnacha, Mazuelo, and a tiny quantity of Cabernet Sauvignon, are from the appellation of Priorato. They are full, rich wines made in a style similar to a forceful, beefy, peppery, full-bodied wine from one of the better southern Rhone villages. All are husky, mouthfilling, expansively-flavored wines. Importer: Jorge Ordonez 39 Constance Road, West Roxbury, MA 02132; telephone (617) 327-1613; telefax (617) 323-0455.
