Abundant aromas of peppery olive-tinged red and black currant fruit emerge from the 2008 Crozes-Hermitage Le Grand Courtil. This medium-bodied Crozes can be drunk now and over the next 3-4 years.. Ferraton’s parent company, Chapoutier, has done an excellent job in St.-Peray working with Marsanne and Roussanne. This long-forgotten appellation may turn out to be the Northern Rhone’s white wine answer to Burgundy’s Chablis.
