Medium-bodied and dark-colored, the cassis-scented 2001 Clos Vougeot is packed with blackberries, new oak characteristics, as well as spices. As with all of Mortet’s wines, it is deep, dense, dark, and intense. Expansive, it saturates the palate with its impressive depth of black fruits, vanilla-laced oak, and loads of tannin.
