The hot-vintage Cantina del Pino 2017 Barbera d'Alba (with only 2,400 bottles made) opens to a very generous personality with thick layers of dark fruit, plum and dried fig. The Barbera grape loves a sunny and warm growing season, and that's exactly what it got in 2017. These conditions helped to enhance the overall concentration and richness of this medium-bodied red wine without taking away from the wine's natural freshness.
