The 1983 Domaine de Chevalier is one of the most seductive, elegant, and compelling wines made at this estate in the last 20 years. It has developed beautifully, as evidenced by my tasting notes that continue to exhibit more enthusiasm as the wine has gotten older. Fully mature, it is a beautiful, stylish Graves loaded with smoky, curranty, spicy aromas and flavors. The epitome of elegance and finesse, it manages to brilliantly pair richness with delicacy. It should continue to drink well for another 10-15 years. Last tasted, 7/93.
