Vaudieu’s 2006 white Chateauneuf du Pape shows flowery honeysuckle-like notes interwoven with nectarine and marmalade. The wine is rich, fleshy, complete, and fruit-driven with good underlying acidity. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.
Beautifully sandwiched between the vineyards of Rayas and the village of Chateauneuf du Pape, this estate demonstrates a distinctively modern take on Chateauneuf du Pape, utilizing an unusually large percentage of Syrah in the blends (50% in the Val de Dieu cuvee).
