The 2015 Barolo Serralunga d'Alba is the most austere of this selection from Fontanafredda. There is a hint of tobacco and smoke here, but mostly it's a surprisingly simple, clean and one-dimensional wine for the year and for this part of the Barolo appellation. Still, it's a lean Barolo that could pair nicely with, say, a tagliata di manzo on top of radicchio.
