Poggio Nardone's 2011 Brunello di Montalcino is a bit thinner compared to the 2010 vintage. It also shows slightly less depth and overall complexity. The bouquet offers mild tones of red fruit, spice, cola and licorice. All the standard aromatic elements are there, only they are delivered with less intensity. In the mouth, this Brunello is compact and streamlined with medium persistence.

This red combines sweet plum and cherry flavors with accents of mint, tobacco and tar. Firms up but stays elegant, with moderate length. Best from 2017 through 2026. 850 cases made, 670 cases imported.??–BS??Region: Italy / Brunello di Montalcino Select to Add
