The 2004 Muffato della Sala, a medium amber, exhibits high-toned aromatics with suggestions of jasmine, spices, orange rind, apricot and white peaches. It offers plenty of length and a long, clean finish in an elegant style. It should drink beautifully over the next decade or so. Made from a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Grechetto, Traminer and Riesling, it spent six months in new French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2017. Importer: Ste.
