I enjoyed this wine, a dark ruby-colored, peppery, mouthfilling red made from the Aglianico grape. This wine was aged in old Slavonian oak for 6 months prior to bottling. Soft and peppery, with plenty of cherry/berry fruit, good spice, a suggestion of melted road tar, and a robust, savory finish, this is a chunky, husky red to drink over the next several years.
France's famed white wine producer, Olivier Humbrecht, provided consulting services for this wine.
