The 2017 Branco, in a bottle about four months when seen, is a blend of 40% Viosinho, 30% Gouveio and 30% Rabigato, unoaked (but for 10% of the juice for two months in used barrels) and coming in at 13% alcohol. Despite the fearsome vintage, this still can show moderate tension on the finish. It has a balanced feel to go with the freshness. This easygoing white drinks well and shows elegance too. It's always a nice deal, but this year it is worth pointing out that the Branco Superior is a big upgrade. The price spike is about $10.
