My favorite Reed Vineyard Pinot Noir, the 1988 appears to have achieved full phenolic ripeness, always a challenge for this north-facing vineyard. It boasts a deep plum/ruby color along with a sweet perfume of red and black fruits intermixed with underbrush, sassafras, beet juice, and subtle herbs. Drink this medium-bodied, ripe, layered, attractive Pinot over the next 4-5 years.
