In the same ballpark as the Terres des Aines, and also the same blend/élevage, the 2012 Gigondas Confidentiel comes from a single parcel of vines and is 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre that, like all the wines here, is brought up all in cement tanks. It offers up outstanding notes of dark fruits, black raspberry, wild herbs and pan drippings, medium to full-bodied richness and lots of Proven?al character. Opening up nicely in the glass, it too will shine over the coming 7-8 years.
