Alain Graillot has fashioned a lovely 1998 Crozes-Hermitage blanc from his normal blend of 80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne. Three-fourths of the wine is aged in oak barrels, and the remainder in tank. Malolactic is blocked to preserve acidity. The wine reveals excellent ripeness, good fatness, and a honeyed citrus nose and flavors. Medium-bodied and juicy, it can be enjoyed over the next year.Importer: a Christopher Cannan Selection, Europvin USA, Watertown, MA; tel. (617) 924-7620
