La Nerthe's most ambitious white wine offering, the 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape Clos de Beauvenir (a blend of 28% Roussanne, 54% Clairette, 15% Grenache Blanc, and 3% Bourboulenc), exhibits excellent freshness, as well as honeysuckle and buttery fruit in its medium-bodied, toasty personality.
