The luxury cuvee of white Chateauneuf du Pape, the Clos de Beauvenir, is made from 60% Roussanne and 40% Clairette. It is barrel fermented and bottled without going through a malolactic fermentation. The spicy 1992 Chateauneuf du Pape Clos de Beauvenir reveals well-integrated oak notes, an excellent bouquet, and ripe, medium-bodied flavors that, while not complex, are fruity and enjoyable.
