Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2011 Shiraz Viognier offers notes of ripe blackberries, cassis and tar with an undercurrent of mocha, raw meat and pepper. Medium-bodied, the palate is youthfully fruited and taut with a crisp acid line and low to medium level of grainy tannins, finishing long and peppery. Drink it now to 2016+. Containing 5% Viognier, the 2010 Shiraz Viognier was matured for 10 months in French and American oak. It has a deep garnet-purple color and aromas of ripe cassis, warm black plums, licorice and violets plus a hint of toast. Full bodied with a good concentration of ripe blackberry flavors, it has a medium level of fine grained tannins, refreshing acid and a long finish. Drink it now through 2017. Blended of 94% Shiraz and 6% Viognier from McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek, this 2009 Shiraz Viognier was matured for 10 months in French and American oak, 30% new. Deep garnet purple in color, it has intense cherry and crushed blackberry aromas with an enticing fruity lift and just a touch of peachiness. A solid backbone of high acidity and medium-firm fine tannins support the fleshy, medium-full bodied palate, finishing long.
