The 2008 Shiraz-Viognier spent 10 months in tank and 30% new French and American oak. This dark ruby-colored effort receives an aromatic lift from the Viognier and delivers greater depth and concentration than the Unpenned cuvee. Elegant, well-balanced, and moderately long in the finish, it will offer pleasure over the next 3-4 years. Grapes for The Chook label, made by Ben Riggs, are sourced from McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek.Importer: Epicurean Wines, Seattle, WA; tel. (206) 923-1376
