Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Central Otago opens with notes of Bing cherries, raspberry leaves and cranberries with hints of dried herbs, underbrush, fallen leaves and fungi, plus a waft of exotic spices. Light to medium-bodied, the palate is led by a solid frame of chewy tannins and lively acidity, supporting the delicate red fruits and herbal flavors, finishing with persistent earthy notes.
