From the Agrigento area of Sicilia, the 2017 Sicilia Grillo della Timpa has a sharp, grassy personality with bright citrus and topical fruit. The wine is fresh, zesty and easy to drink. The mouthfeel in this vintage is a bit thin. I tasted this wine twice, once in April 2018 and once in October 2018, and the second tasting revealed more oxidative notes of candied orange peel and canned peach. For that reason, I have adjusted my score downwards. I feel like this hot vintage is quickly nearing the end of its drinking life.
